Church Related Early Childhood Education Fellowship of San Diego County
Church Related Early Childhood Education Fellowship (C.R.E.C.E.F.) is an organization of faith-based preschools and childcare centers to support Directors,
staff, and the Church. We provide an opportunity for fellowship, the sharing of ideas, addressing problems, and networking with other directors, all within a Christian context. By working and sharing, we strengthen our communities and become better directors. We meet several times a year for general discussion and to hear special speakers. Membership provides you with our newsletter, a directory of other schools, a survey (for those who participate), a discounted fee to the Director’s retreat, and much more.
The purpose of this organization is to grow spiritually and professionally in Christian fellowship by association, discussion and study with others who have the same goals.
Our History
Church Related Early Childhood Education Fellowship is operated under a governing board of directors from Church-related schools in San Diego County. We were established over 40 years ago as an organization to support Directors and teachers in faith-based programs. CRECEF provides inspiration, information, and a sense of community for early childhood professionals.
CRECEF started with a small group of Mommy and Me Weekday Program Directors and has grown to encompass schools from all over the county. Our outreach averages about 150 schools from Fallbrook to Chula Vista. We continue to grow and change to support the needs of our members.
The purpose of our organization is to enable directors, teachers, and Pastors to share and exchange ideas. This helps strengthen skills and understanding, work more effectively with young children, parents, and staff, and encourage Christian growth.

Membership is open to an Early Childhood Education Center that is church-related. Our membership year is September 1st to August 31st and is only $75 per center regardless of size.
